Before the lesson
- To draw faces that express different emotions
Pupils should be taught to:
- To use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination
Pupils needing extra support: If children find this hard, the basic cartoon shapes for the face (outline, nose, circles for eyes) could be drawn initially to give them a starting point to add their own lines too.
Pupils working at greater depth: Once children have tried a range of expressions, they could continue to add the rest of the head and the hair to create their own characters. They might use characters from the source material to get some ideas.
